Emergency responders their sole function is to get you to safety, manage the risk and mitigate the consequences. On the frontline they provide people with instructions and information. For your own safety and wellbeing, it is important to therefore listen and execute these instructions.

Watch these news channels

Via disaster channel RTV Noord you stay up to date with the latest news. You can listen or watch these reports via various channels:

NPO 1 as national disaster channel

When there is a national disaster or crisis, Nederland1 and Radio1 are used as national disaster channels. These will keep you updated.

Informational sources during disasters

If a special informative phone number becomes available, the number will be announced via the previously discussed channels.

  • A flyer or letter in your mail box
  • A vehicle with sirens in your street
  • An informative physical site, for instance in your community centre.
